Hindustan Motors will cut prices of its Ambassador car models by 10,000 to 14,500 rupees, following a 4 per cent reduction in India’s central value-added tax to customers. The move follows a 4 per cent price cut by Hindustan Motors for its Mitsubishi vehicles.

“The company is passing on the benefit of the duty cut to the customers who can expect a cut in Ambassador prices from mid-night today,” it said in a statement.
