They say competition is a good thing, but not when you are one Fiat India, an automobile company which has been too slow to launch new models. The Italian automaker managed to sell only 175 units of the Linea in July, which is by far the worst sales performance for the car since its launch more than two years ago. Now we completely agree that the launch of the new Ford Fiesta and Fluidic Hyundai Verna are in a way responsible for Fiat’s misery, with the price cut on the Honda City only adding salt to the wound. But Fiat hasn’t been able to address the primary issues of after sales service and distribution, which has led to dismal sales of its vehicles. We had discussed about problems with Tata-Fiat dealers earlier here and firmly believe that its Tata dealers to blame for Fiat sales or rather the lack of it.
