Maruti Suzuki has hiked prices of its diesel cars between Rs. 2000 – 10,000/-. The Ritz diesel gets a price hike of Rs. 2000/-, while the SX4 diesel is ow dearer by Rs. 10,000/-. The price hike is on the Swift diesel too which is a real bummer for those who are waiting patiently for their new Swift to arrive. Maruti Suzuki has not been proactive with diesel Swift buyers and are not even paying them interest on their booking amount, even though buyers are forced to wait due to mis-management at the plant, which produces India’s favorite hatchback. The company cities the price hike due to increase in raw material costs and claims it has affected their margins. If anything that has hit their margins, it is the huge waiting period on the new Swift which takes close to six months to be delivered. Making customers wait is certainly not the best way to customer satisfaction.
