2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R Breaks Cover

The 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R/ER-6F has finally broken cover and wasting no time we head straight to the looks of it. Plenty of things have changed in this bike to give it a more razor sharp feel. The front fascia has been modified a bit and the changes extend to the fuel tank, front fairing, tail section and also the seats. The heart of the bike, the 650cc motor producing 72 bhp with DOHC, 8 valve liquid cooling has been kept the same though the company claims to have tinkered with the bottom and mid range power delivery making it more fun to ride.

A new twin-spar perimeter frame is introduced and the black silver coating makes the bike visually stunning from the sides. The company also states that 650R’s frame also has become stiffer making for sharper handling. The bike claims to return a economy figure of 17.7 kmpl. With a tank capacity of 19 litres, it should make around 300 to 350 kms before a refuel is necessary. The bike also has an Eco mode which lights up in the instrumentation to help you control the fuel consumption. So overall, the motorcycle has been made more fun and yet practical at the same time!!
