2012 Skoda Superb front

The Czech based car maker, Skoda Auto is developing a facelifted version of its luxury sedan, the Superb for the global market. Or apparently it seems so. The Skoda Superb was caught undergoing some tests, probably winter tests in the Alps and was caught on camera by CarsSpyPhotos.net. Looking at the front and the side fascia, it can be judged that it’s the Skoda Superb. The front and rear are heavily camouflaged in the pictures indicating some design changes at those locations.

At the front, the car is expected to get restyled bumpers, headlights, and front grille while at the rear it is expected to get some design upgrades to its tail lamps and rear bumpers. The design profile could be made similar to the MissionL concept that Skoda showcased in Auto shows earlier. However, it is very hard to judge from the spy shots about the design changes under such heavy camouflaging.

Under the hood, things are going to remain almost the same which some minor increase in power and fuel efficiency expected. According to rumours, the new Skoda Superb is also set to come equipped with KESS (Keyless Entry with Start Stop button) in some variants. Also, an Ambition variant is rumoured to be added to trim levels which will be a stripped down version without the Sunroof, Bi-xenon cornering headlamps, touch screen system, ESP and Hill Hold Descent.
