TVS will be launching a 125cc bike, which has been named Phoenix. The vehicle was recently unveiled in Bangkok at the TVS Storm Ahead event, where most of the features of the TVS Phoenix were showcased. The above video shows the unveil of the Phoenix along with the main features incorporated in it. TVS has been testing the Phoenix for quite some time now and is expected to launch it in India this festive season. It will sit above the Flame motorcycle and will be priced slightly more than it.

The TVS Phoenix 125 gets a host of features including front petal disc, alloy wheels, clear lens headlight, twin LED pilot lights, LED tail light, dual spring suspension, digital instrument cluster (with a host of information such as digital fuel meter, odometer, trip meter, etc) and an electric start. The Phoenix 125cc bike gets black treatment for the alloy wheels and engine. It will compete against the likes of the Honda CB Shine and Bajaj Discover 125 ST.

The engine doing duty in the TVS Phoenix is a 124.6cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke motor. This engine produces 10.5 BHP of peak power output at 7500 RPM and 10 Nm of peak torque output at 6000 RPM. The gearbox is a 5-speed one and mileage is expected to be the strong points of the Phoenix. Expect TVS to offer 2 variants and 5 colours of the bike. Prices should start around Rs. 55,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). Will the Phoenix help TVS to regain lost market share?
