Tuned 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT

California based Bisimoto Engineering has shown its tuning prowess through the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT. The tuned version will be showcased at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas next month. A look at it might not reveal the changes as the major focus has been the heart of the car. The company has worked on tuning the engine and has achieved remarkable results. A normal Elantra GT would produce 148 HP of peak power but the tuned version can produce more than 600 HP of peak power output.

The 1.8-litre four-cylinder powerplant has got a range of updates. These include forged Arias pistons, Bisimoto con-rods and Turbonetics turbocharger, AEM water-methanol injection and Bisimoto high-pressure injectors. All these put together, creates the whole new beast with enhanced power output. The company selected this model to showcase their capabilities and indeed it was the right decision. The company is known for its experience in forced induction and small displacement engines.

Apart from the engine tuning, the Elantra GT has also got some exterior and interior tweaks. Some of them are ARK custom body kit, 18-inch wheels, JFN full roll cage, coilover suspension with sway bar and Bisimoto racing seats and harnesses. The original 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT was launched earlier this year. Powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder gasoline engine and having a peak power output of 148 HP with a peak torque of 177 Nm, the vehicle gives a fuel economy of 16-17 km/l. It is available in both six-speed manual as well as automatic transmission mode.
