Exclusive – 2013 Tata Indigo eCS Facelift Details, Pictures

Tata Motors will launch the Indigo eCS facelift tomorrow but you don’t have to wait any longer to know what are the changes to the model. We have managed to leak the brochure of the upcoming launch and this post will give you all the details of what is new. The Indigo eCS is a sub 4-metre compact sedan which has been given exterior and interior updates yet again. You can simply browse through the pictures to know what’s new including all the features on offer on the new Indigo.

The interiors of the 2013 Tata Indigo eCS get a new ebony black dashboard along with an all new OCTA instrument cluster, new 4-spoke steering wheel, full fabric seats, cubic printed centre console,. storage pockets in the doors, driver door open/seat belt not fastened warning, etc. The exteriors of the car have been updated as well and the new Indigo eCS gets new smoked headlights, rear chrome garnish and a new design for the 14-inch alloy wheels.

Tata Motors has also made some mechanical changes to the Indigo eCS. The car now gets a new F-shift gearbox, new duo float suspension, anti-acoustic cabin, etc, There are 8 variants on offer namely LS CR4, LX CR4, LS TDI, LX TDI and VX TDI in diesel; GL, GLX and GVX are the petrol variants. All variants are offered with front power windows and cetntral locking with key. The mid and top end variants are offered with turn indicators on rear view mirrors, Bluetooth connectivity with USB and AUX, while the top end variant comes with alloy wheels and ABS.

Powering the facelifted Indigo eCS are the same engines as before and there are no updates on that front. The 1.4-litre TDI diesel engine produces 70 BHP of power. The 1.4-litre CR4 diesel engine produces 70 BHP of power too while the 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 65 BHP of power. All engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
