Ford EcoSport Exhaustive Review

Ford will be introducing the all-new EcoSport to the Indian market within a couple of weeks from now. Even before hitting the Indian roads, Ford has started planning for its mid-life refresh. The American automaker promises to react to the market demand towards the urban SUV. Ford will reach out to the customers and prospective buyers in order to learn what do they want and expect from the EcoSport. Whether it is special value packs, a sports variant with a sportier-tuned suspension and bigger wheels, all will be assessed by the Ford’s marketing team.

Ford EcoSport’s facelift or mid-cycle action (MCA) as Ford likes to call it is due in 2016. The manufacturer is focusing to provide more features, based on market demand. Ford will also be tweaking the exteriors to give it a fresh look but will emphasize more on the latest technology and feature list. Their aim is to provide the customer with more features yet affordable price tag. We can expect the refreshed version to get equipped with features like reverse camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and similar technology.

For the time being, Ford is conducting the EcoSport Urban Discoveries campaign, where winners have started experiencing the compact SUV pan India. Soon after the campaign ends, Ford will officially launch the EcoSport with three engine options and four variants. The EcoSport is expected to be priced aggressively because of heavy localization done by the automaker, hence the delay in launch. The closest rival to the EcoSport is the Renault Duster, which is currently ruling the compact SUV segment in India.
