Audi Sport Quattro

Audi has revealed the new Sport Quattro Concept, on which the carmaker is working since a few years. This is a new version featuring Audi’s latest technology, which can be seen in the near future. What makes it special is a unique design tone with cutting edge styling cues. The front end is inspired from the R8 but has broad characteristics such as a wider hexagonal grille along with brawny air inlets. The hood is a bit scooped up and is supported by angular headlamps featuring the latest Matrix LED technology. The side profile consists of front fender air vents to enhance aerodynamics and a stylish set of alloy wheels.

The rear profile of the Audi Sport Quattro reveals a hatch like tail with broad tail lamp cluster and a sporty bumper with dual exhaust pipes. The interiors showcase a minimalistic design approach with black and grey theme to enhance the sporty characteristics of the Sport Quattro. It is a four-seater cabin that boasts a fully digital instrument cluster. Air conditioning control unit is integrated into the air vent itself. The overall dimensions have increased compared to the older concept versions of the Audi Sport Quattro. The body is made using ultra-high-strength steel panels and cast aluminium structural elements.

The Audi Sport Quattro is powered by a hybrid engine that features a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled to a disc-shaped electric motor that produces a combined power output of 691 HP with 800 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The triptonic transmission sends the power to all four wheels via the Quattro system. There is a 14.1 kW liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery sitting at the rear. The Sport Quattro Concept is capable of doing the 0 to 100 km/hr sprint in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 305 km/hr. On solo electric power it can do 50 kms. Fuel economy stands at 40 km/l and CO2 emissions at 59 g/km, which makes it very environment friendly.
