2013 Hyosung GT250R Limited Edition Launch

DSK Hyosung has launched a signature edition of the GT250R in India. This launch commemorates the completion of one year of “Hy Ryders” which is an exclusive superbike owners club. This club has gained decent popularity since its emergence one year ago. The company will be selling only a limited 50 units of this edition in bright Hurricane Yellow colour. This is a great opportunity for Hyosung to boost its sales while all its models are steadily growing in volumes.

The Hyosung GT250R was launched in India nearly 18 months ago and it received a minor facelift in global markets earlier this year. The launch of the Limited Edition GT250R only highlights the fact that the bike isn’t selling too well. However, the limited edition Hyosung GT250R which is based on its elder sibling Hyosung GT650R is not updated on the mechanical front whatsoever and the performance levels are the exact same as that on the existing regular editions.

The fully faired Hyosung GT250R gets the same 249cc V-twin engine that produces 27 BHP of power at 10,000 RPM and 22 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. The bike does a 0-100 km/hr dash in around 10 seconds and achieves a top speed of 140 km/hr. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The owners who choose to buy the limited edition Hyosung GT250R will also have their name custom printed on the body of the bike. In essence, this limited edition will differ to the regular variants only on the aesthetic front. The regular variants are offered in 3 dual-tone colours namely the Red and Black, Red and White and Red and Silver colours. The company will also showcase another 250cc bike, the Hyosung GD250N at the upcoming Auto Expo in 2014 before its launch in April 2014. This will be a naked street bike and will be priced below the Hyosung GT250R. The limited edition GT250R has been launched at a price point of Rs. 2.97 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune).
