Kawasaki Now Comes Up With ZZR1400 Performance Sport

We earlier reported about the ZX-14R 30th Anniversary Edition which Kawasaki came up with, to celebrate the Ninja’s 30th Anniversary. The ZX-14R special edition comes with a special paintjob and it was meant for sale only in the US and Canada. The Japanese company has now come up with the ZZR1400 Performance Sport which is a special edition of the world’s fastest accelerating production bike, meant for the European markets. The Kawasaki ZZR1400 comes at a fat premium over the regular version, but it also packs in a great amount of novelty and exclusivity factor.

The Kawasaki ZZR1400 Performance Sport comes with a few changes. The bike gets a new bubble screen windshield that provides more comfort over long rides at high speeds. The seat comes with a dimpled pattern and it provides great grip to the rider. While the regular ZZR1400 comes with stainless steel rings for the meters in the cockpit, the Performance Sport gets black rings. The Performance Sport model also comes with a TTX rear suspension unit from Ohlins. This edition comes in an exclusive shade of Golden Blazed Green / Metallic Spark Black.

The Kawasaki ZZR1400 is powered by a 1441cc inline-four engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. The engine belts out 200 PS of power and 162.5 Nm of torque. The exhaust comes from Akrapovic. The bike comes in a monocoque, pressed aluminium frame. The front brake consists of dual floating petal discs while the rear brake has a single petal disc. The front and rear suspensions both are fully adjustable and while the rear suspension comes from Ohlins as we mentioned earlier, the front suspension is fully adjustable and comes with an inverted fork with pop-out springs. Overall, the Kawasaki ZZR1400 is a hooligan of a bike and the special paintjob makes it look very menacing. Don’t expect this version to come to India.
