Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Front

General Motors has come up with the smoking hot new Corvette C7 Stingray at the 2014 Auto Expo. The seventh generation Chevrolet Corvette was unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show for the model year 2014. In terms of styling, the new Corvette is a big leap over its predecessor. The overall silhouette is bold and aggressive now. It boasts a long bonnet and a wide rear profile with a sporty roofline that reveals an energetic stance. The Corvette C7 Stingray is sculpted with extensive use of carbon fiber and aluminium that provides a 50:50 weight distribution.

General Motors has totally redesigned the interiors for the new generation Corvette. The new cabin of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is now much premium, convenient and practical. The dashboard is driver centric and carries a futuristic theme in terms of design. There are enough gizmos to pamper you around that include an 8-inch screen, steering mounted controls, leather seats, etc. The Corvette Stingray now offers five position Drive Mode Selector for the driver to select their driving style according to the conditions.

Powering the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is an all-new 6.2-litre LT1 naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces a maximum power of 450 HP with a peak torque of 610 Nm, mated to a 7-speed Tremec manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The Stingray comes with a front-engine, real-wheel drive layout. 0-100 km/hr sprint is achievable under 4 seconds. General Motors also offers Z51 performance package with the new Corvette for track oriented performance. The American carmaker is not expected to introduce the new Crovette in the Indian market.
