Bajaj Pulsar 150 Sapphire Blue

After updating the Pulsar 180 and 220 models with three new colour options, Bajaj Auto has brought the new colour scheme options on the Pulsar 150 as well. The ageing Pulsar gets three new dual-tone colour schemes comprising of sapphire blue, pearl metallic white and wine red. The same colours are being offered on other models as well. With the facelift model set to come later this year, the added colour will help sell the Pulsar 150 better and help clear the last set of units of the current generation model.

The upcoming Pulsar 150 on the other hand will get a 200 NS inspired design language. The update will extend to the bike’s underpinnings that have also been worked upon to improve the handling and ride-ability of the Pulsar 150. The 150cc motorcycle is expected to sport a front fascia similar to the 200 NS, while mechanically the rear suspension is expected to get a monoshock setup. The new Pulsar 150 will be drastically improved over the current model, helping Bajaj Auto claw back market share in this volume segment.

Originally launched in 2001, the Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder DTS-i engine. The updated model could also see a revised powertrain offering more power and fuel efficiency. The Pulsar 150 will be competing against the all new Suzuki Gixxer set to launch later this year, the updated Yamaha FZ models, Honda CB Trigger and the likes in the highly competitive segment. Bajaj Auto will continue to play the value game by offering more bang for the buck, something which it has always done with its motorcycles.
