2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R ABS 30th Anniversary

The Ninja ZX-10R needs no introduction at all. Kawasaki’s flagship litre-class motorcycle has been on the top the its game with fans and owners in limitless quantity. People swear by the motorcycle worldwide because even the international media says that it is one of the top three bikes out there despite several litre-class sports bikes in existence. Kawasaki has never been tradition bound with their motorcycles and has gone ahead giving whatever is possible to make the motorcycle’s performance as good as possible.

Yes, we are talking about electronics and Kawasaki was the first Japanese manufacturer to feature it on production litre class motorcycles in the year 2011. All of this is going on since 1984 and now Kawasaki proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary with special edition and an anniversary edition, a double whammy indeed!

Kawasaki’s special anniversary edition marks the inception of the Ninja GPZ900R, which came 30 years ago in the year 1984. The 30th Anniversary edition Ninja ZX-10R comes with a Lime Green/Pearl Stardust white paint job, which is very similar to the design of Kawasaki’s World Superbike Championship racer. The special edition model also features 30th Anniversary badging on the side of the fairing behind the headlights with a small Japanese flag. Other cosmetic changes include a green coloured rear monoshock instead of the usual white and sharp white graphics on the side panels, fuel tank and rear tail-piece.

Last year, the Ninja ZX-10R took Tom Sykes (the famous rider for Kawasaki in WSBK) to his first World Superbike Championship, the first time Kawasaki won this award was when Scott Russell won the title on the ZX-7R, 20 years ago. The ZX-10R is equipped with the same hardware with zero changes made to it. This edition is strictly to commemorate the icon which has been in production since 1984 and since then, it is winning the hearts of the enthusiasts and boys who have been relishing them just as wall posters.

The 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R continues to be powered by a 998cc 4-pot engine, which has 200 PS of power. The motorcycle has an aluminium frame, Öhlins-Kawasaki electronic steering damper, Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC), Advanced Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Braking System (KIBS), Power Mode selector, Big-Piston forks at the front, slipper clutch in the gearbox, race-oriented LCD instrumentation and adjustable foot pegs that can be lowered by an additional 15 mm to suit your ergonomic needs. All we want to say is that, there is no doubt that the icon will remain a icon for the upcoming generations as well.
