Honda Cars India will be launching its newest product, the Mobilio in July. The Mobilio marks the Japanese automaker’s debut in the mini MPV segment. Honda has always delivered amazing products in India and hence expectations for the Mobilio are no less. Engineers at Honda have developed the vehicle keeping in mind their principle of ‘Man Maximum. Machine Minimum’ which indicates that the MPV has been designed keeping practicality and space as top-most priorities.

The Honda Mobilio is a fairly spacious MPV and it comes with a 2+3+2 seating layout just like other MPVs. Powering the vehicle is the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that also does duty on the City along with the 1.5-litre iDTEC diesel mill from the Amaze and City. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed transmission and no CVT gearbox will be offered. Bookings for the Honda Mobilio have started taking place at dealerships across India and the MPV is offered in four variants – E, S, V, V (O). The vehicle will be launched on 23rd July and deliveries will begin soon thereafter.

The Honda Mobilio will provide some really tough competition to the Maruti Ertiga which already sells in good numbers. Other low-sellers like the Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia are also set to face the heat. In a market where buyers want the best bang for their buck, the Mobilio really excels when it comes to space, after-sales, good engines and fuel economy. The diesel engine is claimed to provide a fuel efficiency of 24.2 km/l. While pricing details of the Mobilio are not yet revealed, we expect the MPV to be priced between Rs. 7-11 lakhs.
