Honda Mobilio Interiors AVN Pack

The much hyped Honda Mobilio did live up to its name and the sales report has been equally impressive as well. Garnering over 14,000 bookings in a matter of days, Honda is surely laughing its way to the bank with its third consecutive successful launch. Now, sweetening the deal further for prospective Mobilio customers, the Japanese automaker has introduced new V (O) and RS (O) variants of the MPV that come loaded with audio-video navigation (AVN) as well as rear view parking camera as standard. The automaker was supposed to add the variants at the time of launch but dropped the idea later.

The equipment list on the Honda Mobilio V (O) and the diesel only RS (O) variants includes a 15.7 cm touchscreen display unit that features maps, satellite based voice guided navigation and complete in-car entertainment and connectivity features. The infotainment system is also loaded with DVD/CD, Bluetooth, USB and AUX, iPod, MP3 and radio connectivity that make the journey for the passengers more convenient and fun. Moreover, the Bluetooth connectivity allows users to sync their phones with the Mobilio’s system enabling additional access to dialling, answering the call, history and phone address book via the display screen.

Despite being a compelling product many did feel that the interiors of the Honda Mobilio sported a bland look and lacked features. However, the option variants should help address that issue. Moreover, the V (O) and RS (O) will also get wood interior panels on the dashboard and door armrests that are expected to add a premium touch to the cabin of the MPV. The new variants sit on the top of the existing E, S and V trims that are available in both petrol and diesel models. With new trims added, the Mobilio is now offered in a total of 10 variants that include 8 trims for the regular petrol and diesel models, and 2 variants of the sportier RS.

The Honda Mobilio is powered by the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Petrol duties are performed by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC motor producing 119 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The 7-seater MPV is also the most fuel efficient in its class returning 24.5 km/l on the diesel and 17.3 km/l on the petrol version. Honda further stated that deliveries for the RS and RS (O) variants will commence from mid-September.
