Bajaj is making sure to test every inch of its new Pulsar 150 NS that will be replacing the outgoing model soon. With extensive testing going on for almost a year now, we really hope Bajaj has something very special in store for us in the performance department, while the looks have more or less been revealed via the numerous spy shots. This time too our reader Rohan Takalkar managed to snap the 150 NS test mule while it was testing in Lonavala, Maharashtra with shredded camouflage, hinting towards an impending launch in the coming months.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS takes styling inspiration from the flagship 200 NS. The headlight, fuel tank, side fenders and the new analogue-digital console have been replicated well from the 200 NS. The 150 NS also gets a new chassis, clip-on handlebars and the much needed monoshock suspension set-up at the rear, which has been derived from the 200 NS. Furthermore, the Pulsar 150 NS gets Y-shaped alloy wheels, smaller petal disc brakes, single seat and a 100 section rear tyre. The front suspension is handled by 33 mm telescopic forks, which are thinner than the ones on the 200 NS.

In terms of performance, the 2015 Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS will be using the same 150cc unit with 4-valve and air-cooling that will churn out around 15-16 BHP of power, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. With pricing always being Bajaj’s strong point, we expect the automaker to price the new 150 NS very aggressively at around Rs. 75,000/- (ex-showroom) and will be the most value for money offering in the premium 150cc segment. Competing against the new Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ FI 2.0, Hero Xtreme and also the upcoming 160cc bike from Honda, the Pulsar 150 NS is likely to keep its top spot in the 150cc space.
