Changes include revised front fascia, while the interior gets new beige and brown dashboard and an updated 5-speed manual gearbox with a plethora of chrome inserts throughout on the 2015 Etios facelift.

Toyota will launch the Etios and Etios Liva faclift on 15th October in the country

With no plans to retire the model anytime soon, Toyota India has been working on the facelifted versions of the Etios sedan and Liva hatchback that have been confirmed for launch on 15th October. With the launch just days away, the facelifted Etios sedan was snapped during the sales training completely undisguised revealing the exterior and interior updates on the company’s mass market offering. While the Etios twins have never been market favourites, Toyota is surely hoping to induce some excitement in the sales figures with the facelift models arriving during the festive season.

On the outset, the Etios was never really a good looking car so to say but did the job reasonably well. The 2015 Toyota Etios facelift however does not really make the aesthetics any better. The front grille has been redesigned on the lines of the new Corolla and comes with a wider chrome unit replacing the smiling horizontal slats. The side and rear profile do not get any other changes and continue with the same no frills styling. On the inside, major updates include the new beige-brown dashboard, while the power window casing on the doors continue to get faux wood finish.

In addition, the 2015 Toyota Etios facelift will get factory fitted reverse parking sensors, electrically adjustable ORVMs and driver side airbag as standard across all variants. The steering wheel and centre console see no change but do get new chrome inserts added all around for a premium look. The automaker will also offer high quality dual-tone fabric upholstery on the seats and door trim. In terms of powertrain, the sedan continues to draw power from the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engine options, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company will be updating both the hatchback and sedan models on 15th October with prices expected to get a mild upward revision.
