2015 Hyundai i20 With Mild Camouflage, Reveals The Front

While the rear fascia of the next generation Hyundai i20 was spotted undisguised earlier this year, the front has remained a mystery. However, with the unveil date coming closer by the day, the next generation Hyundai i20 has started to lose its heavy camouflage and now these new spy shots have caught the next generation i20 testing in Europe partially revealing the front fascia, giving us a glimpse on what to expect at the front of the hatchback.

As the new images suggest, the 2015 Hyundai i20 will have a comprehensively revised styling in front. The trapezoidal shaped air intake takes a prominent stance at the front and has a more upright position. The V-shaped front grille has been replaced by a straight line that connects the headlight units. The headlights have also been redesigned and are now pushed to the edges. The bumper has also been reworked for a sportier look with reshaped fog lamp housing and will incorporate LED DRLs. The 2015 i20 is expected to get a more coupe like roofline, while the rear will feature boomerang shaped tail lights.

Recently Hyundai confirmed that the company is planning to bring a new premium hatchback in the country. We believe that the next generation i20 will be brought in as a premium offering slotted above the current generation i20, with both the models sold simultaneously in India. Apart from the new exterior and interior design, the cabin will get a host of new features along with most likely retuned engine options as well. Hyundai also confirmed that the car will be priced under the Rs. 10 lakh mark.

The 2015 i20 will carry a more mature styling compared to the outgoing model with restrained lines on the exterior as well as the interior of the car. The South Korean car maker has been developing the second generation i20 at the company’s new test centre at the Nurburgring, Germany and India will be one of the first markets to get the hatchback nearing the festive season around September, followed by the global unveil at the 2014 Paris Motor Show later in the year.
