2015 Toyota Etios Liva Spied, Launch On 15th October

Along with the Etios sedan, Toyota will be giving a minor facelift to the Etios Liva too. Changes are only cosmetic with the addition of a couple of new features and a standard driver-side airbag.

The 2015 Etios Liva facelift gets a new grille, minus the chrome

The Toyota Etios sedan is supposed to get a facelift soon and it was spied just recently. Now, its younger sibling, the Etios Liva too gets an updated model and the 2015 Etios Liva facelift is also ready to be launched on 15th October. While changes are minor, Toyota is trying to keep the vehicle fresh by planning out these minor upgrades every now and then. Coming to the changes in this model, the front fascia of the Liva gets a new grille in a ‘single-tooth’ design. There is no chrome present unlike the Etios sedan.

There are no other changes to the exteriors whatsoever. Toyota has added factory-fitted basic reverse parking sensors to the Liva now. Moving to interiors, the vehicle now gets better quality fabrics in the door trims and some new wood inlays in the interior panels. The steering wheel is now wrapped in leather and the gear lever gets chrome surrounds. Electrically adjustable ORVMs are an added feature in the Etios Liva now. One good thing is that Toyota has made the driver side airbag standard across the entire Etios and Etios Liva range and it is really good to see manufacturers finally awakening to safety features.

No mechanical changes have been made on the Liva and it will continue to draw power from a 1199cc petrol engine that churns out 80 PS of power and 104 Nm of torque. The diesel variants get a 1364cc engine that gives out 68 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Etios Liva is priced between Rs. 4.40-6.91 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and after the facelift is launched, the prices might be increased by a small margin.
