Kawasaki has certainly been one of the more customer friendly superbike makers in recent times with their new range of products. After rightfully slashing prices off the Z800 street-fighter (up till March 2015) in the country, the Japanese manufacturer has also silently launched the ZX-10R C&G 30th Anniversary Edition that commemorates the thirty years of the Ninja brand. Launched globally early last year, the 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R 30th Anniversary Edition comes with special livery featuring Lime Green and Pearl Stardust, while there are 30th Anniversary Edition badges on both the sides of the fairing with a small Japanese flag.

In addition, the 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R 30th Anniversary edition also gets the rear monoshock done up in green, while the side panels, fuel tank and tail piece get white graphics for an aggressive appeal. The 2015 ZX-10R C&G edition has been originally inspired from the design of Kawasaki’s World Superbike Championship racer, which took WSBK rider Tom Sykes to his first championship victory in 2013. In terms of powertrain, the special edition model gets no changes and continues with the same 998cc 4-cylinder engine producing 200 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

High on tech, the 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R 30th Anniversary Edition uses an aluminium frame, Ohlins-Kawasaki electronic steering damper as well as Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC), Advanced Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Braking System (KIBS). Currently on sale in the country, the ZX-10R C&G is being brought in as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). While the standard ZX-10R is priced at Rs. 15.70 lakhs, the new 30th Anniversary Edition will cost you a marginal premium at Rs. 15.90 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Pune) and is certainly a very small price to pay to bring home 30 years of heritage wrapped in special livery.
