Bajaj has silently revived its 100cc offering the CT 100 for the Indian market and is already on sale in Tier-III cities with deliveries set to commence soon.

2015 Bajaj CT 100 Dealership
The 2015 Bajaj CT 100 gets updated suspension set-up for better ride comfort

Having lost its market share extensively in the past couple of months, Bajaj Auto is making rampant changes to bring back volumes to its name. In a bid to do the same, the company has silently relaunched the CT 100 entry-level commuter motorcycle for the 2015 model year in Tier-III cities and has priced it at Rs. 35,801/- (ex-showroom). The company is yet to start deliveries on the new bike that sits below the recently updated Platina 100 commuter.

Discontinued in 2006, the Bajaj CT 100 has witnessed a revival after almost a decade and the dealer says that the bike gets no changes as such including the engine, save for the updated suspension for better riding comfort and new body graphics. The CT 100 continues to draw power from a 99.27cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 8.2 PS of power and 8.05 Nm of torque, paired to a 4-speed gearbox. The new alloy wheels and body graphics lend a modern appearance to the otherwise old motorcycle.

While there has been no official communication from Bajaj as yet, the new CT 100 is likely to be sold in smaller towns and cities first where the actual demand persists. The Platina, on the other hand, could be similarly reserved for larger markets. This following months will also see Bajaj launch a slew of Pulsars from next month onwards including the 200 SS, followed by the new 150 NS and probably also the 200 AS that was revealed recently in spy shots. The company is yet to update its website with information on the new CT 100.
