Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Review
The extended warranty program will definitely entice a few buyers

Harley-Davidson India commenced its operations in August 2009 and appointed its first dealership in July 2010 in India. Since that time, there has been no looking back for the iconic American motorcycle manufacturer and the company has been witnessing rising sales ever since. In an update earlier today, Harley-Davidson announced the roll out of an extended warranty program for its customers in India. With the introduction of this program, Harley-Davidson owners can now enjoy greater financial protection and peace of mind as they start owning their new Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Customers can now choose to avail the extended warranty for an additional period of two years. The extended warranty has been made available over and above the existing two year manufacturer warranty that comes with the purchase of a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Under this program, all Harley-Davidson motorcycles can now be covered for four years against any unlikely covered mishap. This offer is not only available for new Harley-Davidson owners, but also for customers who have purchased their Harley-Davidson motorcycles on or after 2 April 2015. ICICI Lombard General Insurance will provide the insurance under the extended warranty.

The offer is available for all models that are sold in India and the warranty includes all genuine Harley-Davidson parts and labor charges and is available for purchase anytime during the 2 year factory warranty period. Rajiv Vohra, Director Sales and Dealer Development Harley-Davidson India said that they are pleased to announce the program which is also a first for the premium motorcycle segment in India. The program is specifically designed to protect the time Harley owners spend on their motorcycle and enhance their riding experience by minimizing unexpected repair cost that they might incur in the period.

The company currently offers 12 models in its Indian portfolio, in addition to a full range of genuine parts, accessories and general merchandise available through its authorized dealerships. Harley-Davidson India has its headquarters at Gurgaon, Haryana, and has an assembly unit at Bawal, Haryana. With 17 dealerships across Indian cities like New Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, two in Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Indore, Pune, Goa, Jaipur and Surat; Harley-Davidson is looking ahead to capitalize from the growing sales in the premium motorcycle market in India.
