Suzuki has just added two new colours to the Gixxer street-fighter and both are inspired by racing, the new shades are dual-tone and give the 155cc motorcycle a nice appeal.

This colour of the Suzuki Gixxer is called ‘Metallic Triton Blue with Pearl Mirage White’

The Gixxer has changed Suzuki’s fate in the motorcycle market of India. The 150cc bike has managed to get a strong hold in the segment, being the fifth most selling motorcycle in its category, beating all other products from India’s largest 2-wheeler company, Hero. While the Pulsar runs away with top sales in the segment, the FZ comes in second and the Unicorn 160 takes third spot. The Apache 160 comes in fourth, thus the top six positions are occupied by six different bike brands. Suzuki sold 7561 units of the Gixxer (both regular and SF) last month and has now launched two dual-tone colours for its street-fighter.

The two new colours on the Gixxer are blue-white and red-black, they take inspiration from the traditional racing colours of Suzuki. These bikes also gets body graphics and the side frame is colour coordinated with the dual tone scheme. The company has also given the Gixxer clear lens turn indicators which are seen on the SF. The bike also gets a new key mascot with the Suzuki logo on it. The Japanese automaker will continue to offer four single-tone colours on the Gixxer which are red, grey, blue and black, the white colour has been discontinued.

The Suzuki Gixxer is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder mill which gets SEP and produces 14.8 PS of power. The torque output is also impressive at 14 Nm. The motorcycle is fun to ride and has engaging dynamics. We have the Suzuki Gixxer in our long term fleet and are thoroughly impressed with it. It returns us a mileage of 44-46 km/l. Currently Suzuki’s flagship bike in India, the company is working on a more powerful, 250cc version which is set to be launched next year. It will be offered in both street-fighter and full-faired forms.
