An Indonesian website has posted pictures of the 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift without any camouflage whatsoever, revealing what the MPV will look like when launched in the market.
Test mules of the upcoming Maruti Ertiga facelift were recently spied testing in India revealing much of the changes that will feature on the new model. The recently caught mule sported full-body camouflage to keep changes hidden from the eyes of the public. However, it seems that the Ertiga facelift eventually could not be hidden from our eyes, all thanks to social media. An Indonesian website just recently posted pictures of the MPV’s facelift without any camouflage, revealing all the changes the front and rear fascias will feature.
Starting from the front end, a bolder three-slat chrome grille embraces the face. The front bumper has incorporated a few changes to make the vehicle look both fresher and sharper. Lastly, the fog lamp units get chrome ‘eyebrows’ to top it off. Overall, the front does resemble one of its main rivals, the Honda Mobilio up to quite an extent. The rear profile gets a changed profile as well featuring a chrome bar over the number plate housing with red inserts heading inwards from the tail lights, giving the lights an extended like appeal. The rear reflectors find their way across different ends of the rear bumper. However, changes to the side profile still remain a mystery.
Pictures of the interiors are not available but the cabin should get a new touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system, automatic climate control, chrome ringed instrument cluster, engine start-stop button and keyless entry. The facelift should be able to keep the Ertiga fresh for a while till the next generation model is introduced in the market by 2018, finding decent if not more number of buyers as compared to present times as competition in the MPV segment continues to soar.
