Keeping its fans excited globally, Ducati has officially revealed the 2016 Scrambler Sixty2 at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, the manufacturer’s smallest motorcycle to go on sale. Retaining the design language from the bigger Scrambler 800, the Scrambler Sixty2 gets some very young colours on offer and will cater to the A2 license holders in the European market while also encouraging a larger target audience in emerging markets, courtesy of an exciting pricing.

Ducati has revealed the basic essentials on the 2016 Scrambler Sixty2 with power coming from a 399cc Desmodromic air-cooled EURO4 compliant engine that is tuned to produce 41 HP of power. Further, the Scrambler Sixty2 gets traditional Showa 41 mm front fork and a steel tube swingarm. The bike gets alloy wheels, a side mounted short muffler with a black silencer cover, 14-litre drop steel fuel tank and a dry weight of 167 kgs.

In addition to the Sixty2, Ducati has also revealed the Scrambler Flat Track Pro at 2015 EICMA that gets a number of CNC machined parts including the footrests and side mounted number plates. The aluminum wheels are equipped with wheel striping, a Termignoni silencer and little details that are implicative of a flat track. Power on the model comes from the same 803cc twin-cylinder motor seen on the standard Scrambler producing 75 HP.

While the official confirmation is yet to come, the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 is expected to be priced from €7990 (approx Rs. 5.64 lakhs) while the Scrambler Flat Track Pro will come with a starting price of €11,290 (approx. Rs. 7.98 lakhs). Both models are likely headed to India next year with the Scrambler Sixty2 being the automaker’s most affordable offering and will certainly attract more bikers to the brand. Complete details on both models will be available in some time.
