2016 Maruti Alto 800 Facelift Spied, Gets Minor Tweaks

Maruti is all set to give the Alto 800 a minor facelift wherein the front fascia of the cars gets small tweaks.

The Suzuki logo is now placed on the bumper

The Maruti Alto is the highest selling car in India and it also reigns the entry-level hatchback segment where it is positioned in. Datsun will soon be launching the redi-GO in India and to counter that, it seems Maruti is bucking up by launching a facelifted version of the Alto 800.

As seen in the pictures, the Alto 800 facelift gets very minor updates. The front fascia continues with the familiar face but the headlights have received a mild tweak in design. The bumper has also been given a small redesign now. The Suzuki logo has moved a bit lower and now it is placed on the top part of the bumper itself.

The side profile remains largely the same while the rear also carries the same styling. The top variants are likely to get a new design for the wheel caps. The interiors are mostly going to remain unchanged or at best might receive some small tweaks or feature additions. The Alto 800 facelift will continue to be offered in petrol and CNG guises.

Powering the Maruti Alto 800 is a 796cc engine producing 47.65 PS of power and 69 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The Alto 800 is priced from Rs. 2.57-3.78 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it competes with the Tata Nano, Hyundai Eon, Renault Kwid and the upcoming Datsun redi-GO.
