Expected to be launched in India by the end of 2016, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS misses out on some of the features from its bigger sibling, the 200 NS. Bajaj has already begun the production of the Pulsar 150 NS for export markets.

The Indian two-wheeler market is filled with run-of-the mill commuter motorcycles which offer nothing in terms of performance or styling. However, one motorbike which was able to break the monotony was the Bajaj Pulsar, which started a new segment of powered commuter bikes which offered a certain amount of performance and are also practical enough for day to day usage. Continuing on that lineage, Bajaj has prepared the new 2016 Pulsar 150 NS to follow the same ideas and now a video of the bike being tested in India has surfaced.

The fully camouflaged Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS has been spied testing near the company’s plant in Pune. The Pulsar 150 NS sports some nifty changes as compared to its bigger displacement sibling such as a different crank case and the missing liquid-cooling system. The motorcycle is also visibly leaner than the Pulsar 200 NS and also sees the omission of the rear disc brake setup.

Mechanically, the Pulsar 150 NS shares bits from both the Pulsar 200 NS and AS 150. Like the 200 NS, the 150 NS also gets a rear tyre hugger with a similar tail section, horn-style grab rails and a similar number plate holder as well. Taken from the AS 150 is the 149.5cc DTS-i engine which develops a maximum power output of 17 PS at 9500 RPM and 13 Nm of peak torque delivered at 7000 RPM. It comes coupled with a 5-speed transmission sending power to the rear wheel.

The motorcycle features other technologies such as a perimeter frame, 240 mm disc brake for the front wheel, a large chiseled 12-litre tank and clip-on handle bars. Bajaj has reportedly started exporting the Pulsar 150 NS to Latin American and Asian markets as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits and Semi Knocked Down (SKD) kits. As for the price, it is expected that the bike will be priced somewhere between Rs. 74,000/- to Rs. 77,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
