A video of the BMW G310R riding with its global rivals, the KTM Duke 390 and Yamaha MT-03 has surfaced. Not much can be deciphered regarding the performance and the feel of the bike, due to the Russian origin of the footage.

The BMW G310R will not be launched in India this year

Any news about the BMW G310R merely rubs more salt in our wounds now. A video has surfaced, of the bike being ridden alongside the KTM Duke 390 and the Yamaha MT-03. We can clearly hear the exhaust note of the G310R which sounds quite throaty for a single-cylinder unit. The footage seems to be shot in somewhere in Russia.

The rider of the Beamer does give it short bursts of throttle during which the engine is heard making a heavy gruff, pleasing noise. The bike also effortlessly reaches triple digit speeds and can be seen doing a top whack of about 126 km/hr, and seems capable of hitting speeds of 150-160 km/hr.

The BMW G310R is powered by a 310cc single-cylinder engine which churns out 34 HP of power and 28 Nm of torque. The Yamaha meanwhile has a 321cc twin-cylinder motor, which makes 42 HP of power and 29 Nm of torque. The most powerful bike here, is the KTM Duke 390, making 43 HP of power and 35 Nm of torque from its 373cc single-cylinder mill.

The BMW G310R will not be making it to India this year due to supply issues. The launch has been reportedly postponed to the first quarter of next year. The bike however, will be exported to all international markets from India, as the production will be carried out at TVS’ Hosur facility.
