The special edition Ducati Multistrada 1200 is equipped with many mechanical upgrades for better performance. The Pikes Peak edition commemorates the Italian manufacturer’s six victories at the famous Pikes Peak Hill climb race in Colorado since 2010.

Now the Italian automaker has launched the bike in India for a princely sum of Rs. 20.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Edition comes with a fully adjustable Öhlins fork and premium quality TTX36 rear shock. Ultralight carbon fibre componentry and the Ducati Performance Termignoni carbon fibre silencer is also used on the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak. The bike is powered by the Ducati Testastretta twin-cylinder engine and comes equipped with safety features like full LED headlights with cornering technology, wheelie control, traction control and cruise control.

The list of features of the bike doesn’t just end there yet. The motorcycle is also equipped with Bluetooth connectivity for your smartphone, which enables you to manage key multimedia functions of the phone via the switchgear of the bike itself. Also, it displays all the information on a full colour TFT dashboard. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Edition will be available in a stupendous white, red and black livery painted on a Ducati red chassis.

The new bike will be available across the Ducati dealerships in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. Only 400 models of the special edition Multistrada 1200 will ever be built. The Ducati Multistrada 1200 also holds the record of 9 minutes and 53 seconds at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in 2012. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Edition is introduced to celebrate 100 years of the hill climb as Ducati is a major partner of the event.
