After all the doubts regarding the new bike from the TVS-BMW Motorrad joint venture, the BMW G310R was recently spotted without any disguise in production ready form.

The aura surrounding the BMW G310R has been complex and all the more entertaining to watch from the outside. Speculations and expectations have sunk deep with the new bike from the TVS and BMW Motorrad alliance, making the rounds on the internet. Both the collaborating companies have complimentary demands, performance and premium segment bikes.

Apache, from TVS is enough to be stacked up against the Pulsars and the 200cc KTMs. But a bike with a higher capacity has always been missing, and now even more heavily as its competitors have found their solutions. Meanwhile, BMW Motorrad has seen the segment leading bikes in the 200-400cc segment swallow its share and this has left the brand licking its wounds.

The latest from the joint venture, the BMW G310R will be powered by a 313cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, water-cooled engine. It will churn out 34 HP of power at 9500 RPM and 28 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It highly mimics the international attributes such as high mounted exhaust pipes and bronze-coated front USD forks.

The vehicle is said to be understood as a low-capacity speedster with a keenness for performance. It will be pitted against the KTM Duke and RC 390, Mahindra Mojo and the yet to be released Pulsar CS 400. The Apache 300 based on the Akula 310 concept, will be released before this product from the association, which is highly likely to be at the start of 2017.
