The TVS Akula 310 took the 2016 Auto Expo by storm and now the Apache maker has already commenced testing of this motorcycle. This is the first time the bike has been recorded on video although it was spotted earlier and images were snapped of this full-faired motorbike.

The TVS Akula 310 will be spotted a lot more times on highways in Karnataka as the company will test it extensively. It was spotted by a Pulsar RS 200 rider who tried to catch the Akula but just couldn’t. His slow reaction of changing the camera angle is also to blame but we all know the Pulsar RS 200 is a segment down from the upcoming Apache 300. The bike was spotted once again by Kiran Karuthedath and the image shows the beefy looks, USD front forks, sporty riding position and the exhaust from the BMW G310R.

A lot of components on the TVS Akula 310 come from the BMW G310R, like the engine which is a 313cc unit that belts out 34 HP and 28 Nm in the Beemer, it is matched to a 6-speed gearbox. TVS is likely to tweak the powerplant for lower output numbers but better ride-ability and efficiency for a more practical ride experience.

The TVS Akula 310 will be fuel-injected and will get dual-channel ABS as standard with Pirelli tyres. It will compete with the upcoming KTM RC 250 (next generation RC 200 is likely to be axed in lieu of the 250cc model). Expect TVS to price the Akula 310 attractively, at under Rs. 2 lakhs (ex-showroom).
