Brio facelift gets updated front end but no changes at the rear

Honda had unveiled the refreshed Brio in Indonesia recently. Now the updated hatch has been spotted at an Indian dealership which hints us about its launch very soon. The facelifted Brio gets a new front-end having a new bumper and bolder black grille that houses the upright Honda logo. There are no changes with the rear-end or alloy wheel design.

The Honda Brio facelift now features a new and premium dashboard, borrowed from the facelifted Amaze, which replaces the earlier basic setup. Gone are the round shaped AC vents, the dashboard now looks neat with grey, piano black and brushed silver elements. It features a new digital air-conditioning control panel and an Eco indicator.

The instrument panel is larger with new dials but it doesn’t get the large MID with fuel efficiency display from the Amaze. Key features of the updated Brio will include automatic climate control and audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. There are not many drastic changes and considering the competition they should have added a few more features to the list.

Mechanically, the Honda Brio facelift holds no changes and continues with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 88 PS of power with 109 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission. Honda might replace the 5-speed AT with a CVT transmission but that is not yet confirmed until the official announcement. There is no diesel engine option in the Brio and hence it didn’t get as popular as its rivals.
