The Jeep brand launched its products in the Indian market very recently. While the cars aren’t really affordable for the masses, the company has been working on a new SUV which will be positioned at the lower end of the spectrum and the C-SUV has now been spied without any sort of camouflage in Brazil.

The Jeep Compass has a familiar face but it features a slightly curvier styling. The grille is small and sharp while the headlamps have a striking look. The side profile looks muscular and the SUV gets squared wheel arches. The spied vehicle seems to be a top spec trim because it comes with dual tone exteriors and a lot of chrome.

Powering the Jeep Compass will be a 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel engine sourced from Fiat and it belts out 172 HP of power. The engine will be localised. The vehicle itself will also be locally manufactured at the company’s production facility in Ranjangaon, Pune.

The Jeep Compass will come with features like push button start, climate control, U-Connect infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, etc. The Jeep Compass will be priced attractively and it is likely to be positioned in the same price band as the Mahindra XUV500.
