Bajaj expects the Kratos 400 to write another success story

After witnessing a healthy growth of 23% of motorcycle sales, Bajaj Auto plans to shift the focus to the highly-awaited Kratos VS400. The bike which was earlier supposed to be launch under the Pulsar brand name, will now be launched in November 2016. Initially many expected Bajaj to launch its latest flagship in October 2016. However, the company first wanted to focus on achieving the sales target for the festive season and the launch for the Kratos 400 was delayed.

What might come as a stonker of a news for some, Bajaj expects the Kratos 400 to sell a whopping 10,000 units per month. This is a pretty optimistic target as the Kratos sits above existing Pulsar 200 range of motorcycles which themselves generate 6000 to 8000 units per month. Not only the Pulsar 200, but also the KTM 390 twins manage to sell a meagre 700 units a month. But the flip side to this can mean that Bajaj may surprise the enthusiasts with a mouth watering price for the Kratos 400. With the Kratos 400 , Bajaj Auto will look to open a new segment of power cruisers in the Indian market.

With a long muscular tank, low cruiser-styled seating with signature twin LED tail lamps, Kratos 400 packs in an appealing design. The bike also boasts of a plethora of latest tech like liquid cooling, 6 gears, 4-valve engine, an optional dual channel ABS system, LED headlamps, twin digital instrument clusters and Wave disc brakes at both wheels. Suspension duties are carried out by a monoshock at the rear while telescopic forks are present at the front.

The Kratos 400 will be powered by a 373.27cc single-cylinder engine producing 34.97 PS of power. The Kratos 400 will be equipped with Bajaj’s triple spark technology and will compete with established rivals like Mahindra Mojo and Royal Enfield Classic series.
