The 2017 KTM Duke 200 and 390 will come with different set of features. The Duke 390 is expected to get more equipment as compared to the Duke 200. It includes new coloured LCD instrument cluster and different forks.

The KTM Duke twins revolutionised what performance meant in India. Now, the company is preparing for 2017 range of motorcycles. The new motorcycles have been spied numerous times undergoing testing in various parts of the world. The Duke 125 was spied camouflaged in Europe, then the 390 was spotted testing around Bajaj’s Chakan facility in India. A walk around video of the Duke 390 has also being doing rounds of the internet.

For 2017, the Duke 200 and the Duke 390 will have different features. The 390 will have a full coloured LCD instrument cluster like the new Duke 690. The four way switches on the left handlebar confirm the same. On the other hand, the Duke 200 will continue with the same unit as found on the current bike.

The new bikes are expected to come with same engines without change in power and torque figures. But the engines will be made Euro-IV compliant with the underbelly exhaust being replaced by a new side mounted one. The power delivery on the bikes will be made smoother especially on the 390. The performance of the new bikes may be a bit less than the current ones due to the added weight.

Both the 200 and 390 Duke will get the new two-piece frame (with the bolt-on sub frame). The Duke 390 is expected to get new separate function forks from the company’s dirt bike lineup. One side of the forks will handle compression damping while the other will handle rebound damping. The Duke 200 is not expected to get these features.

The common changes for both bikes include new bodywork, LED lamps for the headlight and new seats. The bikes are expected to be unveiled at the Milan motorcycle show or the EICMA in November which will confirm all the changes.
