The Chevrolet TrailBlazer’s price has been reduced by a massive amount to clear stocks and make way for the updated model.

The TrailBlazer competes with the Fortuner, Endeavour and Santa Fe

Ford recently reduced the prices of the Endeavour by Rs. 2.82 lakhs and now Chevrolet has cut the price of its TrailBlazer by as much as Rs. 3.04 lakhs which is indeed a very significant amount. It seems that both the automakers are gearing up to tackle the upcoming 2017 Toyota Fortuner that is going to be launched soon.

With the price reduction, the Chevrolet TrailBlazer now costs Rs. 23.95 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV is offered in only 1 trim – LTZ AT and even misses out on a 4WD system. It is also the only one in its segment to be brought down via the CBU route. Chevrolet has sold just about 50 units of the car in the first 9 months of 2016.

Another reason for the price reduction could be that Chevrolet wants to clear existing inventory of the car to make way for the facelifted version that will be launched in the coming few months. The Chevrolet TrailBlazer is powered by a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 197 HP of power and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
