Hyundai has been on a product offensive in the Indian market. The company launched the Elantra D-segment sedan just a couple of months back and yesterday the automaker launched its premium SUV, the Tucson. The Tucson is slotted between the Creta and Santa Fe. Hyundai has now stated that they are readying a new compact SUV.

The new compact SUV will measure less than 4-metres in length. It will be positioned below the Creta and will compete with the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300 and the upcoming Tata Nexon. The new compact SUV will be launched in the Indian market in early 2019.

Hyundai had showcased the Carlino concept at the 2016 Auto Expo. However, the compact SUV will not share its styling with that of the concept that was shown. We can expect the car to be loaded with a lot of features, typical of all Hyundai cars. Hyundai will also offer both petrol and diesel engines. Apart from this, the automaker is going to unveil a new hybrid car at the 2018 Auto Expo.
