The facelift will bring along a few cosmetic updates to the Maruti Ciaz, keeping the mechanical specs unaltered.

2015 Maruti Ciaz Test Drive Review
Maruti Ciaz has seen a slight sales drop in the month of November

The Maruti Ciaz is expected to receive a facelift by next year and buyers will have to enter a NEXA showroom to buy it instead of regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships. The Ciaz has seen good days in the Indian mid-sized premium sedan segment for a long time. Now, it is expected to get a facelift to make it a more pleasant option for buyers.

Keeping the mechanical specifications unchanged, the 2017 Maruti Ciaz is expected to get a bunch of cosmetic changes. Maybe, the changes will be more creases on the body panels with added decals. Headlamps and tail-lamps could receive slight changes in the design keeping the original pattern as it is.

Apart from the Maruti Ciaz getting shifted under the NEXA banner, a new variant of the Baleno, the Baleno RS, is also expected to be introduced early next year with high power figures and other skin alterations. The upcoming Maruti Ignis will follow the new version of the Baleno into NEXA showrooms.

The Maruti Ciaz comes with 1.3-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol engine options. The diesel motor produces 89 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque and, the petrol engine produces 91 BHP and 130 Nm. The petrol trim is offered with a 4-speed automatic gearbox whereas the 5-speed manual is available in both the engine options.
