2017 Triumph Street Triple Unveiled, Gets 3 Power Options

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple has been revealed and it comes with 3 states of tune.

The Triumph Street Triple R produces 118 HP and 75.92 Nm

Triumph has now revealed the 2017 Street Triple and the bike comes with some exciting bits. The 2017 model now comes in 3 different variants – Street Triple R, Street Triple S and Street Triple RS. All the 3 variants are offered with the same engine but each one of them gets a different state of tune.

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple is powered by a 765cc, triple-cylinder engine. The R trim produces 118 HP of power and 75.92 Nm of torque while the S trim produces 113 HP and 71.85 Nm. Meanwhile, the RS trim produces 123 horses and 75.92 Nm. This power bump is pretty good since the existing model is known to churn out 105 HP of power.

The company claims that the 2017 Street Triple comes with over 80 new parts like the pistons, swing arm and crank. It is also 2 kgs lighter than the existing Street Triple R. The 3 variants come with ride-by-wire, traction control and variable riding modes. The R and RS trims also come with a slipper clutch and a full colour TFT display.

The RS variant also comes with a quickshifter for upshifts only along with a lap timer. On the cosmetic front, the bike gets tweaked radiator cowls, air intake and some other body panels along with a new fly screen. ABS is standard on all trims and it can be switched off on the R and RS trims.

The S and R trims come with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres while the RS gets Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The RS gets 5 rider modes like Rain, Road, Sport, Track and a customisable mode. It is available in Matte Silver Ice and Phantom Black colours. The R trim misses out on the track riding mode and it is available in Jet Black, Matte Aluminium Silver and Crystal White colours. The S trim gets only rain and road riding modes and it is available in Diablo Red and Phantom Black colours.
