Mercedes has launched a limited edition for the A-class and the B-class.

The Mercedes A-class and B-class recently received a facelift in 2016 and now the automaker has decided to bring in the limited Night Edition for both the hatchbacks in order to boost their sales. The hatchbacks are priced at Rs. 27.31 lakhs and Rs 29.34 lakhs for the petrol versions of the A-class and the B-class respectively. Their diesel versions are priced at Rs 28.38 lakhs and Rs 30.35 lakhs for the A-Class and B-Class respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, Pune).

There have been some changes made to the interiors and the exteriors. Both cars now come with blacked out trim bits along with a contrasting colour ORVM and they also come with new blacked out 17-inch alloy wheels along with a ‘Night Edition’ badge on the sides. Now coming to the interiors, both cars get a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The cars get part Artico leather-part fabric sports seats.

The engines used for the limited edition are the same as that as the regular A-class and the B-class. The cars come either with a 122 HP 1.6-litre petrol or a 134 HP 2.1-litre diesel engine. Both the motors use a 7-speed automatic gearbox.

The Night Edition will be limited to only the first 100 customers for each model. Mercedes plans to gain popularity in the young Indian market by bringing in this limited edition model which looks sportier than the regular trims.

B-Class Night Edition

– The A-Class Night Edition is priced at Rs. 27.31 lakhs (petrol) and Rs. 28.38 lakhs (diesel)
– The B-Class Night Edition is priced at Rs. 29.34 lakhs (petrol) and Rs. 30.35 lakhs (diesel)
– Changes have been made to the exteriors and interiors
