The Tata Hexa is all set to be launched in India on 18th January 2017. A lot of speculations about its pricing have been floating around. The company is accepting test drive enquiries on the Hexa website and recently, the website mistakenly starting showing the starting price of the car, which will be Rs 12.30 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The company later changed the text on the website and the price vanished. While the base model of the Hexa could start at that price point, we expect the top end trim to cost around Rs. 17.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Hexa is likely to give tough competition to the Mahindra XUV500, while also attracting some customers of the Safari Storme .

The Tata Hexa will be offered with a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine producing 154 horses and 400 Nm of twist. The base variant will get a 148 HP and 320 Nm tune. The engine will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox on the higher state of tune and a 5-speed manual gearbox on the lower state of tune.
