Bajaj Auto launched the second generation Pulsar 150 as the Pulsar 150 NS in certain countries but not in India, where they chose to sell the Pulsar AS 150. The 150 NS was recently updated in the form of the 160 NS but the Indian automaker has no plans to launch it in India. The Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS has been launched in Nepal, priced at NPR 2,59,900/- (Rs. 1.62 lakhs INR).

To be sold by the company’s dealer network by HH Bajaj, the Pulsar 160 NS uses a 160.3cc, single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine with triple spark plus to belt out 15.5 PS at 8500 RPM and 14.6 Nm at 6500 RPM, matched to a 5-speed gearbox. Weighing just 135 kgs, the Pulsar 160 NS makes for the perfect rival against similar displacement bikes like the Suzuki Gixxer and Honda CB Hornet 160R.

The Pulsar 160 NS uses a 100/80/17 tyre at the front while the rear is a 110/70/17 unit. The NS 160 gets a rear disc brake variant as well while single-channel ABS is optional. The motorcycle is available in 3 colours – white, red and blue. The graphics are similar to the Pulsar 200 NS.
