Honda is recalling a total of 41,580 cars manufactured in 2012 to replace the front airbag inflators.

659 units of the Honda Accord have been affected by the recall

Honda Car India had earlier issued a recall for some batches of its vehicles to rectify an issue with the Takata airbags. Now, the automaker has again issued a recall and this time it is for vehicles manufactured in 2012. The recall involves the previous generations of the Jazz, City, Accord and Civic.

7265 units of the Jazz, 32,456 units of the City, 659 units of the Accord and 1200 units of the Civic have been affected by this recall. Honda will replace the front airbag inflators free of cost across all their authorised service stations in India. The replacement for the affected parts has begun with immediate effect and the company will directly coordinate with the customers.

Honda customers can even punch in their 17-digit VIN number at the company’s official website to check if their vehicle is a part of the recall or not.
