The 2017 Kawasaki Z900 has been launched in India as a replacement for the Z800, priced at Rs. 9 lakhs.

Kawasaki has replaced the Z800 with the Z900 and it has been launched in India for a price of Rs. 9 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) with accessories. The bike was unveiled at the Intermot show last year and it will be brought down via the CBU route. The Z900 gets a completely new design and the performance bike looks more striking.

The Kawasaki Z900 also gets a new chassis and weighs 211 kgs which is 20 kgs lighter than the older bike, thus leading to better dynamics. Powering the Z900 is the new 948cc, inline-4 engine producing 125 PS of power and 100 Nm of torque at 7700 RPM. The engine is matched to a 6-speed transmission and the gear ratios have been revised. The bike also gets a slipper clutch.

You get 41 mm inverted front forks and horizontally mounted monoshock at the rear. Nissin ABS is standard and disc brakes are offered both at the front and rear. The Kawasaki Z900 competes with the likes of the Yamaha MT-09 and Triumph Street Triple.
