GM India is looking to pull the plug from 3 of its vehicles by April 2017.

Chevrolet Tavera Specifications
The Chevrolet Tavera is sold only in rural markets since it is BS-III

GM will be discontinuing 3 cars from Chevrolet’s India line-up and these are none other than the Tavera, Enjoy and the Sail hatchback & compact sedan. The company has been performing rather poorly and they have their hopes set on the upcoming launches that will take place this year.

Chevrolet will be launching the Beat facelift, Beat Essentia and new TrailBlazer in India in 2017. Apart from that, the new Cruze will also be launched here most likely in 2018. As of now, the Tavera is their highest selling MPV despite being on sale only in rural markets due to it being a BS-III model.

GM India will lose a lot of sales if the Tavera is discontinued but the company might launch an updated BS-IV Tavera later. The MPV currently fetches around 500 sales each month. These 3 vehicles are likely to be discontinued from the Indian market by April 2017 itself.

Tavera Discontinuation

– Chevrolet will discontinue these cars by next month
– The automaker is focusing on its upcoming products
– GM India’s loss has been 4 times its net worth in the last year
