The Lexus RC-F performance car is being offered to customers in India only on an order-to-order basis with each one of them being offered at a price of over Rs. 2 crores (ex-showroom). This is the fourth product from Lexus after the RX SUV, ES sedan and the LX SUV.

There’s a typical Lexus grille, LED DRLs and LED headlamps and the styling looks sharp. At the side, instantly noticeable are the 20-inch alloys. Overall, the car’s design gets a thumbs up, the coupe like body line, the swooping roof line and the short and stubby boot are all a treat to stare at.

Under the hood, well, now we’re starting to talk aren’t we? Powering this Rs. 2 crore plus sports coupe is a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine that makes 467 HP of power and 527 Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Lexus RC-F also features optional torque vectoring along with the standard Lexus limited slip sport differential.

15-inch slotted Brembo discs with 6 piston race calipers do the duty of bringing this car to a halt. The Lexus RC-F also features F-Adaptive variable suspension that has 30 levels of adaptive damping and can soften or stiffen the car according to the selected drive mode.

For the price it comes at, it is slightly slower when compared to the Porsche Carrera S, Maserati GranTurismo and the Jaguar F-Type. 0-100 km/hr comes in just 4.3 seconds. In terms of horsepower, it rivals the BMW M4 which is over Rs. 80 lakhs cheaper than the Lexus RC-F.
