The RE Himalayan has been spotted at a dealership in a new Army Green paint scheme.
Ever since the Government of India banned the sale and registration of BS3 vehicles from 1st April 2017 ,the Royal Enfield Himalayan has not been on sale. Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan last year and since then was surrounded with quite a number of controversies with regards to this adventure motorcycle.
It’s been over 4 months and Royal Enfield still has not brought the BS4 compliant Himalayan as the brand is busy ironing out issues associated with the motorcycle. The updated Himalayan as we are aware will also feature a fuel-injection technology.
With the deliveries of the motorcycle set to commence soon, the Himalayan has been spotted in a new Army Green paint scheme at a dealership. The Himalayan Army Green also had a host of accessories on it like jerry cans on either sides of the fuel-tank and Army Green coloured cloth panniers with leather straps. A Battle Green shade of the Himalayan has been spotted too, but that colour is meant only for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.
The Himalayan comes powered by a 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine makes 24.5 HP of power, 32 Nm of torque and comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox (the FI version could make slightly more power). Other features include dual purpose tyres, high ground clearance, a rear monoshock and 21-inch and 17-inch wheels at the front and rear respectively.
