Weeks after getting a glimpse of the exteriors, the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 interiors have been spied, the dashboard now gets a leather trim.
The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 was recently spotted revealing its exteriors and now weeks later we have the images of the interiors too. The SUV is expected to go on sale sometime later this month.
Coming to the interior, since this is a facelift, the automaker hasn’t given major changes to the dashboard. While the overall layout remains identical to the current selling XUV500, the dashboard now comes wrapped in a leather trim making the cabin look more upmarket. The spy images also reveal that the facelifted XUV500 gets silver inlays for the centre console, gear lever, steering wheel and the handbrake lever. There is also piano black finishing on the centre console and an updated touchscreen infotainment system. The vehicle also gets tan leather seats.
Powering the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 are the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel and petrol engines. The 2.2-litre petrol makes 140 HP of power and 320 Nm of torque while the 2.2-litre oil-burner is expected to output 155 HP of power and 360 Nm of torque and not 168 HP, as speculated earlier. Expect the 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options and AWD system to be carried over.
The Mahindra XUV500 facelift is expected to be priced slightly higher than the current XUV500. Currently, prices for the XUV500 start at Rs. 12.78 lakhs and go all the way up to Rs. 17.86 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
